Terry Westley - VP Human Resources and Administration
Terry Westley has worked in the Human Resource field since 1959. Over the years, Mr. Westley has held senior leadership positions with some of the most respected organizations in their industries, including airlines, engineering and construction, and high technology/aerospace. He has also held leadership positions with a number of professional associations such as: Industrial Contractors Association of Canada, Canadian Construction Association, Construction Industry Advisory Council of Alberta and the Engineering Personnel Managers Association. Throughout his career, Mr. Westley has been responsible for all aspects of Human Resources management including industrial relations, recruiting, benefits, compensation, safety and environment, employment equity, and training.
During his career, Mr. Westley has successfully introduced Employee Assistance and Employment Equity programs, has implemented pension plans in Canada, the USA and the United Kingdom, and has brought in safety programs complying with legislative requirements in these countries. He has changed compensation programs to ensure compliance with pay equity requirements. He has been responsible for excellent records of labor peace on construction and maintenance projects across Canada and established a position of respect in the Canadian construction industry, as well as with union local and international representatives.
Mr. Westley’s extensive experience has provided significant opportunity for him to address first hand the issues associated with mergers, acquisitions, down-sizings and international recruiting for critical skill shortages. He has played a significant role in managing the close linkage between corporate history, corporate values, and corporate processes.
